Join us as we officially open the 2026 Port Stephens Winter Festival with our exciting Family Fun Night at Apex Park, Nelson Bay! A fun-filled evening of entertainment, music, food, laughter and community spirit awaits as we kick off this year’s festival celebrations in style!

Get ready for a spectacular drive-by featuring some of the incredible vehicles from the 2026 Port Stephens Winter Festival Car Show! From classics to show-stoppers, these amazing cars will cruise through Apex Park to help kick off the festival in style.

5:30pm to 6pm
Get ready for an energetic and entertaining performance from the locally renowned Collective Dance Academy! Featuring talented local dancers, this vibrant showcase is sure to bring plenty of excitement, rhythm and festival fun to the stage.

6pm to 6:30pm
Enjoy a fun-filled Rock ’n’ Roll performance by the fabulous Nelson Bay Rock 'n' Roll Group! Get ready for great music, dancing, and plenty of old-school energy as they bring classic rock ’n’ roll vibes to the festival stage
6:30pm to 8pm
Prepare to be amazed as The Pretty Amazing Jono roves through the event with his incredible magic stunt show! Expect surprises, laughs, jaw-dropping tricks and interactive fun for all ages throughout the night.

From 5:00pm onward, grab a bite from our delicious local food stalls, enjoy live music from Port Stephens FM, and join in the fun with activities including face painting and more for the kids!
Bring along a picnic rug or your own picnic basket, settle in with family and friends, and enjoy a magical evening filled with illuminated puppets, live entertainment, music and community fun under the winter sky.
